Makoto Sushi Bar, World Square Sydney
I have always wondered what all the fuss and hype was about when it came to the Makoto Sushi Bar as there is always a long line of drooling customers outside that place. Finally the day came for me to check it out for myself. I arrived at around 8.20 PM on a Friday night and the wait itself was about 30 minutes or so which I personally thought it wasn't TOO bad, considering the fact that we waited for over 1 and half hours at Mamuk. The waitors were very generous as they were serving complimentary green tea to those who had been waiting for a while.

Noodle Markets, Hyde Park

| Line of people @ Noodle Markets, 2010 |
When you see a crowd like that with thousands of people lining up for ages, I guess you would want to know what the fuss is all about. Noodle Markets is part of the Good Food Month's festivities each year where most of the popular Asian and Middle Eastern restaurants set up their own little stall to feed their mass of hungry customers at Hyde Park. The festival lasts for about 2 weeks which is awesome for massive foodies out there because you can come once every couple of days!

Cafe d'Or, Burwood
Never judge a book by it's cover is what I always tell people when they are trying out a restaurant! Cafe d'Or doesn't look that exciting from the outside, especially when the place is pretty much almost empty!

Sugar Hit 2010 at The Westin Hotel, Sydney
Yes boys and girls, it is that time of the year again, Good Food Month. For most food lovers it is almost like New Years!! This year's Sugar Hit range is unfortunately not as extensive nor is it as creative as last years.

Subsolo, Sydney
Subsolo was definitely a place that came to my surprise, especially being such a popular Spanish restaurant hidden along King St. I must admit though, I haven't heard much about this place so I was not really sure what to expect.
The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming; I would actually recommend this place for people who are thinking of throwing a birthday dinner because of the atmosphere for starters and secondly, because it is one of a few Spanish restaurants that do not force you to do set menu just because you have 10 people or more.

Kazbah, Balmain
I recently have dedicated myself to a new tradition; brunch every public holiday. One of the places where I have been itching to go was definitely Kazbah. I have heard people rave on about it and so I wanted to go to check out what all the hype was about.

Adriano Zumbo Patisserie, Balmain
Most of us have either seen Zumbo in action either live or on Master Chef but have you actually tried his famous macaroons and desserts? or should I say have you tried anything else besides his macaroons?

Over the years, I have always heard DIY Korean BBQ, DIY Hot Pot, DIY Vietnamese Spring Rolls and so forth but it is only recently till I was introduced to the new concept of DIY Frozen Yoghurt.
