Himalayan Char Grill, Glebe

Are these lamb shanks really that famous? Well they would have to be if SMH, Good Food Guide, Cheap Eats and so crown those shanks as being the 'BEST IN SYDNEY' or 'Finger Licking Good Lamb Shanks'. That is why I had to check them out myself that night.

Famous Lamb Shanks
The first thing I noticed was that their menu was quite extensive because they served chicken and other meat is so many different ways whether it be grilled, marinated, in a curry and so forth which was fairly impressive.

Aloo Chop (smashed potato cake) - $11.90

Himali Wings - $11.90
Both these entree's were really good but I could definitely have some more of those Himali wings because the skin was cripsy and the chicken was quite tender. Thinking about those wings makes me want to go back for more crispy skin goodness.

Goat Meat Currey - $18.90

Butter Chicken - $18.90
Fish Curry - $18.90

For starters, the lamb shanks were really tender and you didn't even need to taste it to know because the meat fell off those Dinosaurios bones so easily. The thing was that I wish it came with more than just 2 lamb shanks, I wanted more.

The curry sauce in each of the curries was packed full of flavour but the surprise hero of the night was definitely the butter chicken. It was cooked to perfection because it sweetness and spiciness  was just right. I could have just drowned my whole entire plate of rice with that butter chicken sauce.

An extra bonus for those who have the entertainment book as diners will enjoy 25% off the bill.
