The Bulgogi, Chatswood

Unfortunately, my Friday night plans didn't go ahead as I had hoped since the Korean BBQ place at Goldmart was booked out! O well, nevertheless, I took the opportunity to try out a new restaurant. The Bulgogi is a Korean restaurant that offers both traditional Korean food as well as Korean BBQ. By the time we arrived, it was 7.30 so we had missed the 6 pm promotion by a mile.

Variety of Japanese and Korean entree's and sides

Pizza E Birra, Surry Hills

It was raved all over SMH's Good living Guide for their top pizza and beer's! But was it worth waiting in line for over an hour? Kind of but not completely that worth it., mainly because its base was a bit of a let down.  In my most humble opinion there was no doubt about the fact that the restaurant was insanely popular - people were willing to wait 40 minutes just for a table of two!!! Let alone an hour's worth of wait for table of seven! The atmosphere w/in the restaurant was so vibrant! Luckily, there were so many bars around us that the one hour's worth of wait barely felt like an hour!

Bourke Street Bakery, Surry Hills

Yes I have finally stepped foot on the famous bakery that everyone has been raving on about  Bourke Street Bakery; an extremely tiny bakery that is tucked away in a quiet location in Surry Hills. The bakery is so small that it only has 3 tiny tiny tables for people to sit one and a handful on outdoor seating. The hoard of people however come in flocks, one after another throughout the whole morning.

Doytao Thai, Newtown

Everyone knows that Newtown is the home town of (some what) authentic and cheap thai food! Doytao Thai is located at the end of Newtown so it isn't anywhere near any of the popular thai hot spots on King Street but in saying that, if you are coming in a large group, bookings must be made.
