Great Aunty Three, Enmore

As much as I love eating out, it can obviously do quite a bit of damage to the bank account so when I do come across a bargain find, the coins in my wallet are cheering. With thanks to they let me wear this to work, I discovered Great Aunty Three. If you want to get a bang for your buck, then you have to try out Great Aunty Three. Yes, a bánh mi will set you back $6.50 but they are close to being double the size of your normal rolls that you would find at a bakery.

Banh Mi's - $6.50

Orto Trading Co, Surry Hills

'Oh and an expresso martini for you Miss? Why yes please.' And that was the moment when I woke up that morning. It was strong but really good and it was just what I needed. If I started my mornings with one of those each day, I probably never make another single complaint about being tired plus also be considered an alcoholic. It was a drink that could cure all degrees of Mondayitis.

Expresso Martini - $18.50

Dos Senorita, Gladesville

Hola! I am so happy I have finally made it to Dos Senorita and can I just say to the whole wide world that I, Shanshan Lam, a Mexican food loving human being freaking loves this place to death. There has been so much hype about this place which made me worry that the restaurant might have been overrated. But no, it met those expectations and probably exceeded it. Huge servings of food at reasonable prices and food that is packed full of flavour, how can it possibly be overrated?

Between a group of four, we struggled to finish 3 plates of food. That is how huge and filling these servings were, especially when all their dishes are full of carbs.

Hola  Hola!
Annnndddd the best thing about this place is that there are plenty of sombreros for you to try on! The only thing missing now is a real piñata to bash up.

Mejico, Sydney

So after going through an Italian craze, I am now going through a Mexican craze. Like Italian, it is another cuisine which I can never get sick of. Hand me a bowl of pasta, a plate of pizza, a carton of arancini balls, a plate of tacos, a tub of guacamole, a platter of doritos with salsa AND a bottle of tabasco and I will eat it across 7 days a week, for the rest of my life.

Freshly made guacamole - $9
So with Mexican food being the new craze in Sydney, I had to try out Mejico. Before you even step foot into the restaurant, you can feel the energy buzzing out of the restaurant from afar. Mejico's signature dish is the freshly made guacamole and when I mean fresh, I mean it is made right in front of your very own eyes.

Chi Chi, Canley Heights

So ever since I read about Chi Chi on bite me show me, I have been dying to check this place out. This Asian kitchen and bar is a typical restaurant you would normally find in Surry Hills rather than in the west. I guess that is probably what made me so keen to check out Chi Chi. As I ate my way through the menu, the only thing I wanted to do was to continue ordering and eating. I wanted to try everything on that menu.

Son in law eggs - $5.50

Sweet Streets (formerly known as Short Sweet Bakery), Parramatta

HAPPY EASTER PEEPS! The Easter Holiday is one of my favourite holidays because of the extended long weekend and of course, hot cross buns. The smell of cinnamon, mixed spice and currents makes my body filled with warmth and the tip of my fingers tingle with excitement.

Sweet Street (formerly known as Short Sweet Bakery) prepares a batch of hot cross buns each day during the lead up to Easter. The bakery is simple but cosy. There is a huge variety of cakes available especially given its size so just a heads up for some upcoming cake porn, starting with...
