Devon Cafe, Surry Hills

So Devon Cafe, one of my favourite brunch spots in Sydney, have recently launched a dinner menu. The menu and set up itself is quite different to its brunch sessions as it is mostly a chance for chef, Zachary Tan, to show off his Malaysian skills with a touch of French. As soon as I walked to the back of the restaurant, I barely recognised the place. Dimmed lighting with fairy lights and sweet smelling candles then came the food…

Papi Chulo, Manly

So ever since Merivale brought out Papi Chulo, my instagram feed has been flooded with photos of their beef brisket, burgers, curly fries and more beef brisket. I would salivate in front of my screen at each and every single one of those photos. I really couldn't care less how much of a trek it was to get to Manly, momma had to be there and eat ALL the meats. Ladies, if you aren't a big eater, I would recommend going with a few blokes that can help polish up those plates because despite the photos, because your stomach is going to be in for one hell of a feast.

BBQ meat platter - serves 2 to 4 - $86
Top left: chopped pork belly
Top right: lamb ribs
Bottom left: Chopped pork
Bottom right: Wagyu beef brisket

I've been twice, both times were with two large groups, annndddd I have yet to check out everything on their entire menu. So peeps, bring your A game so you can try everything.

The restaurant is located smack bang next to the ferry wharf in Manly so on a sunny day, lunch at Papi Chulo can be glorious.

Monthly Catch Up's - June 2014

Helloooo beautiful people! I know it has been well over a month since my last post, sorry for being a bad blogger during this period. The first half of the year hasn't been the best for me. I have constantly being feeling drained, tired, burnt out and unmotivated. Pretty much over everything really.

I kept struggling in keeping up with everything. Nobody ever has control of time but I felt like I was running out of time for everything and my to-do list just kept getting bigger, bigger and bigger. Instead of ticking things off my to-do list, I just ended up chucking the listing in the bin and ignored whatever I had to do. There certainly wasn't any "me time" because all I was doing was running from point A to B to C to D to E. It felt like a never ending circle.

I know quite a few of you guys live a similar crazy lifestyle to mine so when you have all that happening in the background plus going through a quarter life crisis, you may know that life suddenly becomes extremely exhausting. It is like you would feel awfully lethargic every single morning when you wake up. I know this probably sounds like a petty little whinge but I really wanted to get this off my chest, share this with those that might be feeling the same and ask, how do you guys constantly manage to live such crazy and busy (but balanced) lifestyle?

ANYWAYS, enough for the whinging. To kick things off, here are a few of the things I have been up to.
